My King

Sometimes ago I heard a Professor advising his students to start their essay with heart capturing statement. He said, “Start your thesis with powerful lead.” It's also true in our daily activities. As the saying goes, “First impression lasts forever.”

His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge was born on 22nd July 2013 at 4.24pm at St Mary’s Hospital Paddington. Hour by hour his birth detail was announced by series of press releases. The Royal baby is born and congrats pour in from all around the world. Millions are hypnotized by this new baby.

Two millennium ago another king was born. His name is Jesus. At his birth there was no crib, so they laid him in a manger, a feeding trough for animals. The world pity such a birth even for the common. A king in a manger could only be a bad joke. How could someone who has claimed that he owns everything chooses to humiliate himself in such a way? A king who stoops so low as to wash the feet of others. The world will never accept such a phony king. A world of fashion, fame and fantasy.

No wonder many in this world are still could not identify themselves with this unusual king. A king who chooses to hide himself from the eye of the proud since the beginning. A king who prefers to be found in the face of the lowly and the outcast. Making one himself with the hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked and prisoner. A king like no other. My king!

Love and blessings
