The Holy Teacher

"For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say." - Lk 12:12

I also heard the LORD is saying, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." - Jn 14:26

In Judaiistic writing we read that when a child is in the womb, the child is taught the entire Torah. However, as the child is born, an angel strikes the baby in the upper part of the mouth which causes the child to forget all learnt. The reason being: First, the child when he grow ought to know that he must diligently study the Bible. It's not something which will be served to him on a silver plate. Second, when he see his philtrum he should remember that everything the angel has thought him is right under his nose or in a place that he can clearly see.

As followers of Christ we are much more privileged to have the Blessed Holy Spirit as our teacher. However, sadly the most ignored Person of the Holy Trinity in our life is the Blessed Holy Spirit. He is with us but far from us. Unlike us He is one who prefer not to force himself into us. He is most kind and most gentle.

Each moment if only in awe we acknowledge his holy presence in us, our Christian life will be transformed in the true image of Christ. Each moment if only we open our heart and listen to his holy teaching, we should not be wavered or compromised in our faith. Each moment only if we desire to know him more, he will surely reveal the splendor of the Father and the Son to us.

"The Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." - Jn 14:17

O Blessed Holy Spirit, forgive our negligence and help us to know you more. Amen
